I’ve tried talk therapy a few times in the past. While those experiences were therapeutic in their own way, I still felt that I didn’t know what actions to take next to improve my situation. Dr. Mandelbaum’s style was what I was looking for, because I come away from each session with new things to try, and the reasons that these things can work. I now feel like I have more options on the table when I’m faced with difficult situations and feelings, and visits to Dr. Mandelbaum help reinforce what he taught me in the beginning. Instead of my typical pattern of feeling frustrated and hopeless, I can rely on the techniques I’ve learned. The result is that I feel more in control of my life, and hopeful that it can get even better with more consistent practice of these techniques.
