{With Dr. Mandelbaum’s teaching, I put into practice meditation and mindfulness to help me clear my thoughts. I used to just be stuck in my thoughts. Now, I use my skills to stop thinking about my problems all the time. Dr. Mandelbaum made a huge difference in the way that I think. Before, I was thinking negative, I did not see the light. Now, I take it one day at a time and am doing the best I can. Dr. Mandelbaum taught me things to work on myself, focusing on me and my kids. I focus on me to be there for them. He helped with parenting.

{Dr. Mandelbaum listens to me. I like the advice and exercises he gives me. I enjoy them and they help me. I feared people after experiencing trauma. He helped me understand that if you look the part, it doesn’t mean you will act in a certain way. I now believe that who you are is not necessarily defined by how you look. I feel more comfortable in the world. Discussions with Dr. Mandelbaum made me feel good and are enlightening. I am more relaxed, sleep better, continue to work with my medial doctors on medications and have improved my relationships, too.

{I enlisted Dr. Mandelbaum at a very dark period of my life, career-wise, and sanity-wise. With his cognitive and dialectic behavioral insights, he helped me to regain control over a bipolar disorder I'd become neurotic about, as well as formulate a plan of attack to interview for and eventually gain a better job. This plan was built on my strengths and weaknesses, which Dr. Mandelbaum was surprisingly quick to devise. I was able to negotiate some tough situations in a way I could not have a few months before. I'm very grateful.

{Dr. Mandelbaum has helped me expand my capabilities in communication. I have now become a better listener and watcher than just an activist and doer. When I need to find peace in myself, I think of him telling me to open my palms and breathe. I do just that. It helps me be calm. He is etched in my brain. Dr. Mandelbaum has the uncanny ability to make me feel understood – like we travel on the same thought wave length. When issues came up with my parents, he helped give us structure so we can be together. He gave us healthy boundaries so we can live together. I have become more patient since working with Dr. Mandelbaum.
