Dr. Mandelbaum was more helpful, more personal, and more involved in the healing process than my prior psychologists. He has more of a human feel. He gave me a lot of tasks and exercises to do, and a regiment to go through. With Dr. Mandelbaum, I went through the gamut of words that I used and ways that I thought to change my narrative. When the trauma happened, I was angry; I did not know how to deal with it. Dr. Mandelbaum helped me go back to what I remembered; he helped me through my past and my depression. He helped me put skills into practice. Dr. Mandelbaum taught me to be independent and interdependent. He helped a lot to use tactics to frame how to bring myself back into the game.
